Today is my friend's birthday party and then later a bonfire party at another friend's house. We were going to have a Halloween party instead of a bonfire but her grandfather passed away a few days ago and it just didn't feel right getting dressed up in costumes anymore. The problem is, my friend has had a horrible week and wants to de-stress by having some alcoholic beverages. I know once I get to her house she will be looking to me to drink with her and help take her blues away. Unfortunately I have committed to no alcohol for the next four weeks. My consultant wants me to get back on track and get a true perception of what's going on with my body. I am not going to work this hard eating and exercising and mess it up by drinking. I hate talking about alcohol on here because I'm always worried for people that don't know me, you'll think I'm some big alcoholic. But, let's face it, it's everywhere, I'm in my twenties and it's a real issue. I want my friend to be able to have fun tonight because she needs it (and I know if she's a true friend, she'll have fun without me drinking, but still...) and I don't want to be any of the reason why she even for a minute feels bummed out. I think I'll have get creative on other things she likes to do tonight so I don't have to jeopardize my weight loss, yet she still has a good time. Hmmm maybe some dancing and hide n' go seek tag in the dark??? Hey, we live out in the country so hide n' go seek tag can be really fun...
