Today I decided to have a "splurge" day. Indian is one of my favorite foods and every now and then I like to treat myself to it. I have been trying to eat healthy and work hard so I think I deserve it. I always get the Saag Paneer. In case some of you don't know what that is, it's creamed spinach with homemade cheese cubes over rice. People either love or hate Indian. I, however, LOVE it. My parents drove up earlier today and brought us some. There are still always ways to reduce the fat/calorie intake. My Mom and I make it a priority to order it with light cream. When in doubt, whenever you order something ask for very little oil, butter, or in this case, cream. Do whatever you can to make it enjoyable but still healthier rather than overloaded with grease and fat.
SUNDAY
Breakfast -
1 serving of Fiber One Apple Cinnamon Muffins
1 cup fat-free organic milk
Lunch -
1/4 cup Break-free egg wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla with spinach and 1/4 cup fat-free cheese
fat-free yogurt
Snack -
1/2 cup no sugar added applesauce
Dinner -
DINED OUT
I cut the portion size in half with light cream for my Saag Paneer
Snack -
100 calorie pack
